Statistician – Switzerland
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Statistician with a background in pre-clinical research to join a globally renowned company based in Switzerland.
As a Statistician you will apply statistical and mathematical methods to complex pre-clinical and clinical data, in order to ensure a correct interpretation of scientific and technical data and help make informed decisions. You will also contribute to the publication of major results in peer-reviewed scientific journals and thereby to scientific credibility.
Specific responsibilities within the Biostatistics Team will include:
-Support the designs of experiments, develop and implement statistical methods and tools, perform data analysis/reporting in pre-clinical and clinical studies, laboratory data and method validation, product quality assurance and product development
-Guide peers and management in data interpretation to support them in making informed decisions
-Provide input and evidence to the development of project/study scopes, schedules and estimates
Perform duties in accordance to PMI policies and/or external regulations, e.g. Good Laboratory -Practices (GLP) or Good Clinical Practices (GCPs)
-Contribute to the writing and preparation of reports, presentations, publications, patents and evidence packages that are submitted to regulatory authorities, as well as present these materials to internal or external events/conferences
-Provide mathematical and statistical expertise on new projects/methods, as well as statistical training.
-PhD in statistics or mathematics
-Substantial Statistician experience within the pharmaceutical industry
-Good expertise in defining and analysing advanced statistical designs
-Sound experience with statistical software (SAS, R)
-Proven publication skills
-Sound expertise in planning and scheduling activities with other groups
-Good understanding of regulatory guidelines and processes
-Knowledge of Bayesian statistics is an advantage
-Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
-Fluent in both written and oral English.
