A fantastic new opportunity has become available for an experienced Software Developer to join a Biotechnology company in the Hamburg region.
You will be part of a company that supports cancer research and the development of new cancer diagnostics and therapies, providing its clients with extensive scientific expertise and a wide range of oncology research services.

In this new department you will have the opportunity to implement your own projects as well as work on joint cooperations. The department analyses different types of data which will lead to deeper understanding of epidemiological/molecular characteristics of cancer.

Your main responsibilities as a Software Developer will involve:
-Development of database applications with large databases
-Development of user-oriented visual analysis tools and workflows for the interpretation of research data
-Use of current technologies for the development of analysis and visualization applications
-Co-development of software modules for statistical analysis of high-dimensional data
-Evaluation and implementation of user experience aspects at the application level
-Performance optimization when visualizing large amounts of data
-Interacting with a multidisciplinary research and development team

The ideal Software Developer should fulfil the following requirements:
-Educated at degree level in Computer Science (or relevant degree)
-Excellent front end programming skills (HTML5, Javascript, CSS, Node.js, Python, Angular)
-Experience with APIs and REST-Web Services
-Experience with Big Data Technologies such as ElasticSearch, Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra
-Experience with modern software development paradigms and tools
-Excellent communication skills
