Programme / Project Manager – Medical Device Conferences
We are working on a unique opportunity for an exciting independent business which exclusively works with medical device companies.
This company has 3 offerings for the medical devices sector which include publishing, market research and conferences. They organise a massive annual conference which attracts many medical device clients and have another up and coming conference which has recently started to take off.
The company is keen to have someone on board to develop these conferences. This Programme Project Manager is required to support our two conferences. For their long-standing symposium, this involves working alongside an Executive Board who will be supported by “single point of contact” Programme Coordinators. For their newer up and coming conference, this involves working closely with the Course Director. In both cases, this involves providing the project management support so that these key opinion leading healthcare physicians (HCPs) can create a complex, high quality educational programme of speakers and topics for these two annual events that take place in London. There are plans for the company to organise up to 5 global conferences a year and the Programme Project Manager will need to be able to manage a number of direct reports as the number of conferences organised by the company increases.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
*End to end project management skills and ability to set timelines for others
*Strong organisational ability
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
*An ability to meet deadlines and prioritise own work
*Strong IT skills include use of programme management tools, proficiency in MS Office, ideally including Access (or other similar database)
*Ability to manage and lead a small team
*Experience of liaison with commercial sponsors and an ability to perform an ambassadorial role for all education organised by the company
*Experience of working in healthcare or medical devices sector would be highly beneficial
