The company has made huge advancements in the diagnosis and prediction of disease development for a wide range of immune-related diseases, and has now created an innovative prognostic test that can be used to facilitate personalised medicine and improve patient outcome. The ideal candidate for this position will be an enthusiastic, creative Bioinformatician that is capable of working independently and thrives on a challenge.
The responsibilities will include:
-Visualising and analysing gene expression data sets
-The design and development of computational pipelines
-Identify and implement statistical approaches to analyse and integrate large datasets
-Work in close collaboration with scientists and clinicians to interpret analysis results
Candidate requirements include:
-A PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistical Genetics or a related discipline
-Experience of analysing complex gene expression data sets
-Demonstrable programming skills, with fluency in Python, Perl or R
-Strong statistical background, familiar with a variety of statistical approaches
-Some machine learning experience would be highly desirable
